The torch came to our Ontario town on December 19th. My husband and I woke our three young children early to go and see the torch. It was minus 15C that morning, but it was totally worth it. Seeing my children (ages 4, 4 and 1) cheers and wave their little Canadian flags was great!! It's amazing how just watching the torch go by can make a person feel such strong emotions.

Hey there :) I've been a FB fan for some time now. I am also a news letter subscriber. My favorite part of the Olympics so far was the opening ceremonies night. I sat and watched a CTV live feed online with my girlfriend. We were so amazed.

I saw the torch relay at the CN Tower. It was cold and an early start for me, but it was worth it. Just seeing the flame being passed gave everyone such a great feeling of being a part of something much bigger than just getting up early on a Friday to watch a torch go by. The Olympics is a time when the whole world gathers to put aside their differences and celebrate together. As we all dispersed after the flame had long gone by, the sky was just starting to lighten up for the morning just like any other day - only it felt like a day with so many more possibilities.

My daughter carried the torch Feb. 9 in New Westminster. It was an AMAZING experience and a beautiful day. There were so many who came out to cheer her on. We will never forget it!

I have been watching some of the games on TV. We have our local guy (Torin Koos) competing in Cross Country skiing.

I sent you a couple of pictures... one where the flame was being passed to her, she then sprinted off (she is an athlete and she "said" it was a slow jog uphill, yeah right!) and one where she is posed with a preschool class... everyone wanted their picture taken with her. Even a group of construction workers that were stopped by the parade..LOL!

We've been glued to the tv since the opening ceremonies. I didn't love the presentation of the ceremonies but moments were amazing (the whales topped it! and the skiers/snowboarders on wires!). My favourite moment so far has been watching Alexandre Bilodeau earn his gold!

I haven't been too involved this time, except hearing about someone I know's journey as a torchbearer and watching some events on TV. For the 1976 Olympics I was living in Montreal and a cousin of mine brought me to a few events. That was an experience never to be forgotten.

The opening ceremony was amazing! This is the first year my son (now 6) was interested so it was great to watch it with him and explain about all the countries competing. I felt so much pride being a Canadian!

Although I am in Ontario I am still caught up in the Olympic spirit. I work with children who are learning to speak English. This week we painted the olympic flags and played "ring" toss. A lot of fun and a great way to teach them about the friendship and competition involved in the olympics.

I was at the laundromat, totally oblivious to the outside world when a crowd started gathering outside. For 20 minutes they stood there, then I finally saw a woman running down the street with the Olympic torch, and I ran outside and started taking pictures with my cell. It was awesome...such a proud moment to be Canadian :)

I have been a fan of Lavish and Lime for quite some time. I just signed up for the newsletter and I can't wait. The torch came to London on Christmas eve and it was so exciting to see how the children reacted to the experience. A friend of mine carried the torch in Ottawa and said that it was one of the most exciting experiences of her life.

I have a very Olympic excited 4 year old. She is always asking "who are we cheering for now". It does not matter the sport she is into it. With her Olympic jogging suit on and her red mitts waving with cheer above her head she is one of the Olympic 2010's biggest cheerleaders. My 2 year old little man is really only into the hockey but I guess the spirit of the games have to start somewhere. Everynight has been an Olympic expereince in our house since the started last friday.

I am so proud of Vancouver --- great job. I have fond memories of when the olympics were in Calgary, AB (my home town). My favourite part of the olympics is watching all the sports -- I have become so interested in different sports. I find myself watching curling, snowboarding, etc.. I have become so involved in what is happening when these were sports before that I knew nothing about. Go Canada Go!!!

I was totally overwhelmed at how awesome the opening ceremonies were. So far the best for me. A proud Canadian moment.

I was lucky enough to carry the Olympic Torch through my hometown. I think my friends and family got more of a thrill watching me run...I was so excited to run with the torch and I look back on that moment with great fondness. Go Canada Go!

I was a torchbearer in Bracebridge, Ontario on December 30th, 2009. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget. It felt like I was holding all of Canada in my hands and in the flame.

We're far from Vancouver, but we did watch the torch come through our small town in Ontario. We've been glued to the tv for as much Olympic goodness as we can stay up for. We watched the opening ceremonies with friends, which was fun. I've been loving seeing Canadians win so many golds!

My Olympic Memory is sitting with my children watching the Canadian women's hockey team play their first game in 2010 games! My daughters were screaming ... and cheering. I am sure the players heard them all the way from Ontario!

I was infused with the Olympic bug as soon as I walked into BC place for the opening ceremonies dress rehearsal. BC Place was transformed! It felt like I was in a magical snow filled palace and the night just kept getting better and better but the highlight was the heartfelt performance of KD Lang...breathtaking!!

My husband was the first torchbearer of the day in Owen Sound Ontario on December 28th. My entire family came to be part of the day. Seeing all my loved one in one place, in the dark of pre-dawn, while Dave stood with the burning torch surrounded by drumming and chanting as part of a native sunrise blessing ceremony before he began his run, that is a moment I'll never forget.

Two Olympic favourites:
1. visiting the Olympic Living Rooms in Vancouver, at Kitsilano, Kerrisdale and West Point Grey Community Centres and at Kitsilano Neighbourhood House. This program has been great!
2. watching the zipliners over Robson Square.

Wow - the games were incredible! I think Vancouver and Canada did a great job of hosting the world, and it was so great to see so many people swept up in the spirit of the games.

Best moment - waiting to exit Canada Hockey Place after the Canadian men's hockey team won the gold medal, and someone started singing O Canada. Everyone in the crowd joined it - it was spontaneous and a great moment to be a Canadian.
