Great Green New Year's Resolution Giveaway

The New Year is here and with it a great opportunity for a fresh start. Time to take stock, evaluate and decide how to live a greener, healthier life in 2012 - and it doesn't have to be complicated. How about resolving to use both sides of every piece of paper? Walking if your destination is less than four blocks away? Starting a home garden this spring? All very do-able, with just a bit of effort. Tell us about your green New Year's resolution and you could win a Brightbin lunch box cube - to help make your lunches waste free in 2012. We love these two-layer BPA-free, lead-free and phthalate-free lunch containers with plenty of different compartments. For more about the lunch cube, click here.

I currently eat all organic or wild foods, grow my own foods, live in a natural home with a small footprint, reduce consumption, reuse everything we can, compost & recycle what can't be reused, walk more than drive, buy ethical, fair-trade & natural fiber clothing, clean with only organic household cleaners, use only organic personal care products...My two green resolutions for 2012 are to share as much green knowledge as I can with others and look into alternative energy more seriously....It's easy to be green :)

While I already choose locally grown foods when given a choice, I intend to alter my eating habits such that a higher percentage of my diet is locally sourced. I am having a fence installed to deter the deer from entering my garden and will again attempt to grow more of my own food (much of it has been devoured by them in the past despite my best efforts).

I am going to continue to use cloth diapers on our daughter. I have switched to Rockin Green detergent and Superior Soapberries to be cleaner that way. I'm going to try to make all of the pureed food for our daughter to reduce waste that way. Trish H

We no longer buy bottles of water to take to the gym. We use tap water and refill our bottles. we use tupperware for storing leftovers and taking lunches to school/work. we use our green bins for compostable foods and blue bags for recycled items to try reduce our weekly garbage.

After an incredibly stressful 2011, my green resolutions are to return to more natural healthy eating, downsize to a smaller home, and to start to grow some of my own food.
