Projecting Change Film Festival Ticket Giveaway

Four days packed with 20+ films all about change - that's Vancouver’s Projecting Change Film Festival this weekend May 27-29th at the SFU Woodward's Goldcorp Centre for Performing Arts.

To help you get inspired for change, we're giving away tickets to the Festival's Gala Event this Sunday, May 29th at 7pm featuring the Canadian premiere of Mother: Caring our Way out of the Population Dilemma and an after party at swanky NU Restaurant (value $120). Enter to win below.

The Projecting Change Film Festival is a three-day event featuring eye-opening and award-winning films from around the globe, each followed by a dynamic speaker and panel discussion. The unique festival format is a platform for audience engagement, with all proceeds donated back to local initiatives.

“PCFF is about positive change," says co-founder Brady Dahmer. "Come to our festival hungry for knowledge and we promise you will leave with a head full of inspiration.” Inspiration no doubt in part due to the participation of such luminaries as Dr. David Suzuki, Captain Paul Watson and Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson – all former festival speakers.

This year's line up includes the witty and provocative documentary What's on your Plate about kids and food politics plus Vanishing of the Bees about Colony Collapse Disorder, the phenomenon that has brought beekeepers to crisis in an industry responsible for producing apples, broccoli, watermelon, onions, cherries and a hundred other fruits and vegetables. Our favourite pick is Climate of Change narrated by Academy Award® winner Tilda Swinton. The full schedule of films can be viewed here.

Leave a comment below telling us which film you'd like to see at the Festival -- and be sure to leave your email address so we can contact you if you win! You could win two tickets to the Closing Gala event which includes the Canadian premiere of Mother: Caring our Way out of the Population Dilemma and the after party at NU Restaurant.

I would very much like to see "The Pipe". For starters, I'm Irish and I think that it is great to see a young Irish Director succeed with getting this project funded and shared around the world. Secondly, it's a great story - "The tale of the brave little town that stands up to the big bad corporation may seem well-worn. But this documentary had memorable characters and fresh twists as Irish farmers and fishermen take on Shell's plans for a pipe to carry raw gas through their turf."

Thanks for offering the competition, my e-mail is niamhmredmond@gmail.com
