Friday Freebie: Natural Badger Sunscreen Giveaway

The warmer weather has come to Vancouver so fingers crossed, summer is finally on its way to the west coast - and those rays are feeling nice and hot.
Enter sunscreen. Up till now we've just been eager for a dose of vitamin D, now it's time to start thinking about protection. Natural sunscreen is a great option. Forget nasty chemicals, the active ingredient is zinc for broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. It blocks the sun outright rather than absorbing it as some conventional chemical sunscreens do.
One of the most popular natural sunscreen brands is Badger. Made of all natural ingredients, Badger rates high on the Environmental Working Group's list of recommended safe sunscreens. It uses the mineral zinc oxide to provide broad spectrum protection and contains organic olive oil, shea butter and cocoa butter for a moisturizing effect. In addition to zinc, Badger is made up of all USDA certified organic plant oils and extracts that are biodegradable and safe for the environment - you could even eat this stuff! So naturally, it's safe for children.
WIN IT
We have a Badger SPF30 Natural Sunscreen Face Stick to give away to one lucky winner! Tell us in a comment below which sunscreen brand you used last summer and why you'd like to try Badger. You could win it! Please be sure to include your email address so we can get in touch if you win.

Last year we used Banana Boat and I recently found out how dangerous it is from it's rating on EWG. We have a 5 yr old and an 8 month old so I want something safe to put on their skin :) michellegalea4@gmail.com

I have been using Avon's bug guard plus sunscreen for years . . . since my first child when she was born, and she is 8 now! After the chat with the sunscreen expert, I investigated the bug guard and now realize it is not something that I should be using! We need something more natural for the new baby who is 1, and for the whole family!

We bought Badger when we saw the ratings on EWG's site. I think it works great on the kids and it's very waterproof. We'd love to try the Face Stick.

We used Neutrogena Helio last year and I'm appalled at what I learned over the winter (when I started researching sunscreens). I've read great things about Badger (and Green Beaver) and would love a chance to use them on my kids (and myself and hubby!). smooreo@hotmail.com

Last year we used Kinesys. So easy to use and not a lot of nasty additives.

We used Green Beaver and I would like to compare the two brands!

Would love to give it a try. Not too crazy about the choices at the stores with their poor ratings.

We used a brand called Substance for baby last year for our kids. I used Neutrogena for myself. Substance is similar to Badger but was a bit cheaper that's why I bought it. I did try Badger 2 years ago for my older daughter and loved it much better than the Substance brand. I think I would love to get back into using Badger again because it feels nice, smells nice and works great for myself as well as my kids. The face stick looks great!

I used a no name one because I was unaware of the hazards and chemicals the use, I have green beaver for the summer for my almost one year old but a stick would be fantastic! Also I hears you don't have to apply 30 minutes before sun exposure which is awesome!

Used Aveno Baby last year, but I would like to try the Badger Sunscreen because it's made of natural ingredients and I've also heard that zinc has better protection.

We used Kinesys but found that it would get everywhere and irritates the eyes. I'd like to try a safer, zinc-based brand.

Last year we used Ombrelle or Coppertone. I am interested in trying a barrier type sunscreen rather than a chemical one.
